We have chosen our team of six regular editors from a field of fifteen thousand applicants. They have passed rigorous testing and have proven themselves through numerous editing assignments. They are all senior editors with years, sometimes decades, of experience in publishing.
Our editors are experts in the leading editorial style manuals: The Chicago Manual of Style, The Associated Press Stylebook, Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, AMA Manual of Style, and others. They know documentation style and can correctly format citations, footnotes, references, and bibliographies.
The number of editors we have available and the fact that they work from home in various time zones allows our project manager to put editing jobs into production quickly. Several of our American editors work overseas, allowing us to turn some assignments around overnight.
Besides availability, our project manager considers an editor's qualifications for an editing job.
Most of our editors have worked for us for years, so we are well aware of their capabilities. Where possible, we try to keep the same editors on each client's work.
