Editing and Proofreading Experience

Our work consists of four services that we offer to our clients: standard copyediting, light copyediting, proofreading, and (occasionally) substantive editing. For descriptions of these services, please see Our Editorial Services.

We expect all of our freelance contract editors to be proficient in proofreading as well as standard and light copyediting. Most of our work uses The Chicago Manual of Style. If we’re considering you as an editor, we’ll ask you to take a brief test of basic copyediting skills.
